Wednesday Wanders: Elsham Quarry

Far Ings Friday Wander

Join a member of local wildlife content creators, Bearded Birders, on the first Friday of every month for a gentle wander around Far Ings to enjoy the scenery, wildlife and birds. This peaceful stroll is suitable for anyone who would like to enjoy the reserve in the company of other people. Adult Pond Dipping at Far Ings

July 5 @ 1:30 pm - 3:30 pm

Take a deep dive into the hidden world beneath the water's surface! Join the reserve warden collecting samples from the ponds here at Far Ings National Nature Reserve; learn how to identify the freshwater invertebrates that live there using microscopes and professional guides; and recognise indicator species that helps us to determine the water quality on our reserve. Take a closer look at our powerful plants in the classroom with scientific equipment and join us for fun crafts. A perfect family fun filled day - especially for those nature lovers who enjoy a bit of storytelling with their science!
