Workshop Detail
The workshop will cover the outline technique using 100% pure silk and specialised French dyes. This is a basic course which can be followed up by an intermediate variation with different techniques/projects. A design of your choice will be achieved using the Gutta outline technique. (Imagine a stained-glass type of style). This workshop is suitable to beginners and the technique will be explained step by step in a very relaxed and fun way. At the end of the day, you will take home a unique piece.

Materials Required
All equipment and material will be provided (frames, silk, paints, resist, brushes, etc).
Please remember to wear sensible closed toe shoes.

Additional Information
All dyes used are fixed by steam and all pieces will be prepared and ready to be taken and steamed at home. Alternatively, pieces can be steamed by tutor and delivered to The Ropewalk for collection (please allow up to 5 working days)

Additional Information
Lunch is not included in the cost of the workshop, however our licensed Ropery Coffee Shop offers a delicious range of daily specials and freshly made cakes and refreshments. Lunch orders will be taken at the start of the day or alternatively you may bring a packed lunch.

All classes/workshops must be booked and paid for in full in advance. Payments will not be refunded if a cancellation is received less than 14 days prior to the workshop/class. Cancellations made before this 14-day period will be due a refund less the £5 booking fee.
