This one day workshop led by Vivienne Morpeth will give you the knowledge and practical skills to handle and work creatively with raw fleece. You will work with a whole raw sheep’s fleece and learn how to handle and skirt a fleece to create a beautiful rug. During the day you will use a range of techniques from laying out the fibres, adding additional natural carded fibres for the eco backing, hand-rolling and wet felting. while also washing your fleece and felting the backing in place. At the end of the session you will have created a gorgeous natural fluffy rug for your home. This is such an exciting transformative process with lots of techniques, step by step tuition, tutor notes and samples handling.
