Heritage Open Days in full swing
On the first full day of Barton’s |Heritage Open Days both the Applegate House Air Raid Shelter on Holydyke and the Wilderspin National School Museum are holding open days. The Applegate House air raid shelter is open from 10am while Wilderspin opens its doors an hour later. Both close at 3pm. At Baysgarth House there are two guided tours where you can learn all about this prominent landmark from the cellar to the attic. The tours start at 10.30am and 2pm. In the evening local historian Richard Clarke is leading a guided walk in Barton’s Barrow Road Cemetery
