Barton has welcomed a new independent retailer with the opening of Model Market Limited, a specialist model railway and slot car shop run by local enthusiast Andy Rhodes.

The shop focuses on modern DCC and DCC sound technology, alongside models from leading brands such as Hornby, Accurascale and PECO. Visitors can also see a working layout in action and get expert advice, repairs and fitting services.

Open Saturdays 9am to 5pm (with more opening days planned), the shop is already attracting visitors from across the region, bringing new footfall and fresh energy to Barton’s high street.
