Visit Baysgarth House Museum in Barton upon Humber for a new exhibition exploring the fascinating world of history hidden beneath the ground. Learn what we mean by ‘archaeology’, and where it can be found. Discover some of the area’s most exciting sites, such as the ancient Anglo-Saxon cemetery found on Castledyke South in the heart of Barton.

With objects from 40 – 4000 years old, there’s something here to spark any imagination. Come and see what was buried in graves 1500 years ago, and make up your own mind of what life would have been like at the time! Let the kids discover replica objects in our sandpit or reconstruct pieces of pottery!

Open 12 – 4pm Saturdays and Sundays in January and February, then 12 – 4pm Thursday –Sunday from 1st March. Further details can be found online at www.champltd.org, on Facebook or on Twitter @BaysgarthHouse.
