Barton and Dr Beeching

Rail historian Stephen Gay is the latest speaker in the Civic Society’s programme celebrating 50 years.  On Friday (April 12) he will take his audience on a railway ramble along the Kirton Lindsey to Cleethorpes line including the Barton Branch.  A member of the Friends of the Barton Line will outline the ongoing efforts to retain and increase use of the railway.

The talk takes place in the Joseph Wright Hall on Queen Street and begins at 7.30pm.  Admission for members is free and for non-members £2
