SUMMARY:The Art of Plants - Barton Arts
DESCRIPTION:Lincolnshire Wildlife Trust is excited to be launching its Lincspirational Plants Exhibition in Barton-on-Humber this summer. \nIn this\, the final year of the National Lottery Heritage Fund supported LoveLincsPlants project\, the Lincspirational Plants Exhibition aims to celebrate and reflect on 30 Inspirational Plants chosen to signify the importance of plants in Lincolnshire.  It also reminds us of the link between plants and creativity and how they symbolise the value and importance of our connection with the natural world. \nThirty artworks have been selected from more than 130 that were submitted from artists all over Lincolnshire and beyond\, to represent the Inspirational Plants.  They will be on show at Wilderspin Museum and in pop up form at various places around the town during the weekend of 26/27 June 2021. \nThe artworks cover plants ranging from Sir Isaac Newton’s iconic apple tree from Woolsthorpe Manor in south Lincolnshire to field scabious and common poppy found on verges and meadows across the county. \nAll the artwork submitted will be available for purchase from an online exhibition/auction in October 2021 \nFree \n
