Civic Society highlights works of engineer James Creassy

Jean Cannon starts off this year’s programme of talks put together by the town’s Civic Society with a talk on Lincolnshire born drainage engineer, land surveyor and traveller.  Jean’s talk is based on Creassey’s works in England and Wales in the late 1700s and his travels in America and India based on extensive family history research.

The talk is being held at the Joseph Wright Hall on Queen Street on Friday, January 19, starting at 7.30pm.  Entrance is free to Civic Society members and costs just £2 for non-members.
